Varieties: Mavrodafne 60% - Merlot 40%.
Merlot and Mavrodafne come from the area of Achaia. They are cultivated at an altitude of 150-300 metres, on sandy clay soil and the production ranges from 900 to 1200 kilos per 1000m².
It is characterised by a red colour with brown hues, with aromas of cherry marmalade, plum, vanilla and cinnamon. Its mouthfeel is tasty, of average body, with well structured tannins. It can be paired with pasta with red sauces and meat, meatballs, burgers, pizza, grilled liver delicatessen meat products and hard cheeses. When ideally preserved, it can be enjoyed for 6 more years. To be served at 16-18° C.
